This choker is made in Taxco, Mexico. Each ball is made by hand, one by one by one of our skilled silversmiths. They make two half moons and sander them together to create one ball.

ABOUT ODISSEA
Jewelry can be worn as a memorabilia from a distant time & place, a symbolism of the ever-changing nature of memories.
It all started when I turned sea shells collected from the Rockaway beach into jewelry pieces. Ever since, I’ve been archiving shells from my travels.
I work with artisans from a small town called Taxco, the biggest silvermining town. Sadly, this craft is a dying art - all silversmiths are 60 years old or older.
Odissea was born not only out of my love for creating beauty from nature's spontaneity, but also a greater desire to preserve the silversmithing art in Mexico.
My hope is to eventually build a craft school in Taxco to inspire younger generations to preserve this craft.
