Every piece is entirely handmade and requires an intricate fabrication process from a variety of artisans across Colombia. Most of our pieces are made to order or made in limited editions- as a result, every piece is unique.

For our collection, we are celebrating 2 Colombian craft techniques: Iraca Palm Weaving & Bead Weaving.

COLLECTION ORIGIN

With a love for costume & cultural handicrafts, I create pieces that tightrope between Colombia’s modernity and tradition.

We work with over 80 artisans across 10 regions, specializing in 12 distinct crafting styles.

Our pieces reflect a playful experimentation with Colombia’s material culture and traditional techniques. Pictured is a custom made piece for Alix Rio.

The process of handcrafting headpieces is very organic. I’ll have a palette or materials in mind and design it as I make it. Similar to making a collage.

We also use embroidery to sew our handmade Iraca appliqués on bags and belts. It can take Danilsa & Deicy, who are in charge of sewing all of our pieces by hand, a week to sew one bag.
